The December Masters and Past Masters Council Meeting for District #11 of the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Texas was held as a District #11 Fellowship with its Master Masons, Heroines of Jericho, and Order of Eastern Stars.

District Deputy Grand Master-District #11 Terrance Sauls opened the evening with greetings and called for a prayer from Special District Deputy Grand Master Edwin D. Moore. He then called on Special District Deputy Grand Master John Webb to provide an update on the forthcoming Deputies Training. Afterwards, he called on Special District Deputy Grand Master Vic Bates to provide an update on the upcoming District #11 events and activities, including the forthcoming New Year’s Eve Party, Martin Luther King Jr Parade, and District Scholarship Banquet.

After those updates, District Deputy Grand Master Terrance Sauls called on District Deputy Grand Most Ancient Matron Tarna Thomas to announce or provide any updates on behalf of the Heroines of Jericho. He then called on the District Deputy Grand Matrons to announce or provide any updates on behalf of the Norris Wright Cuney Order of the Eastern Stars. District Deputy Grand Matron Chosett Davis spoke on their behalf.

Afterwards, District Deputy Grand Master Sauls made the following presentations:

  • Lodge of the Month – Apex Lodge #665, who among other things did an excellent job performing the Opening for Mid-Winter Session
  • Outstanding Master Mason – De Shawn Mack, who, among other things, has made himself and their lodge hall available for bringing loads of food that the District has received at periodic intervals and allow coordination to break out the loads for distribution to recreation centers, schools, churches, etc..
  • Outstanding Master Mason – Derek Webb for his outstanding service
  • Team Player Award – Sister LaShell Ricks, who has been very supportive in a number of District #11 efforts and who was a heavy lifter on the team that worked the 150th Anniversary in Brenham, Texas, in August 2025.

He then called on the Honorable Michael T. Anderson to speak to District #11, where he is a Past District Deputy Grand Master. He provided some words of encouragement, and he shared his gratitude for the work that he sees District #11 is performing.

District Deputy Grand Master Terrance Sauls then asked everyone to partake of the food that had been prepared by District #11 Deputies for all in attendance.
