Dallas, TX – On Sunday, August 30, 2026, the 11th Masonic District Prince Hall Family came together in great numbers to join the Honorable Michael T. Anderson, Grand Master for the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Texas and Its Jurisdiction, at his church (Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church in Richardson, Texas).
Psalm 133
1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brothers and sisters to DWELL TOGETHER in unity!
2 It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron’s beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;
3 As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the Lord commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.
Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church is the oldest black church in Dallas County Texas having been founded on June 19, 1864, which was one year before Union Major General Gordon Granger arrived in Galveston, Texas to issue General Order No. 3 to announce that blacks were no longer slaves.
Biblically, Mount Pisgah is where God showed Moses the Promised Land before he died.
Deuteronomy 34:1-4
1 Moses ascended from the desert plain of Moab toward Mount Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, across from Jericho. There the Lord showed him the entire land, from Gilgal as far as Dan,
2 all of Naphtali, the territories of Ephraim and Manasseh, and the entire territory of Judah all the way to out over the sea,
3 including the Negev, the Arabah, the valley of Jericho, and the city of the palm trees as far as Zoar.
4 Then the Lord told him: “This is the land that I promised to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob by an oath when I said, ‘I’ll give it to your descendants.’ I’ll let you see it with your eyes, but you won’t cross over there.”
The service started with a high school senior who publicly demonstrated giving his life to Christ by submitting himself to being baptized in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Afterwards, Senior Pastor, Rev. Dr. S. Michael Greene, led a ceremony to dedicate to God a roughly 8 month year old son of a young couple. What a blessing to witness a high schooler publicly demonstrating that he has decided to put his trust in God and to see a couple offer up their son to God and His covering and protection.
Pastor Greene’s message “I’ve Been Here Long Enough” came from Psalm 120:1-7 and was a beautiful bookend to all that had been shared on the previous day (Saturday) at the District’s Men’s Prayer Breakfast.

[1] In my distress I cried unto the LORD, and he heard me.
[2] Deliver my soul, O LORD, from lying lips, And from a deceitful tongue.
[3] What shall be given unto thee? or what shall be done unto thee, thou false tongue?
[4] Sharp arrows of the mighty, with coals of juniper.
[5] Woe is me, that I sojourn in Mesech, That I dwell in the tents of Kedar!
[6] My soul hath long dwelt With him that hateth peace.
[7] I am for peace: But when I speak, they are for war.
The message was very well received by all in attendance, especially our Masonic Family.
It was a blessing to have Most Ancient Grand Matron ( Grand High Court Heroines of Jericho for the Texas Jurisdiction ) R. Lucille Samuel, who lives in El Paso, Texas, also in attendance with us.
After worship service, a number of Brothers and Sister dined together at Fish and Tails Oyster Bar.
It was a great and blessed weekend in the 11th Masonic District as the Brothers and Sisters came together honoring God in prayer and worship.
